Bolt RFID Seal

Our Bolt RFID Seal products are manufactured in XiaMen China for container security, customs supervision, cross-border logistics, and asset protection projects requiring both mechanical tamper evidence and long-range RFID identification.
Every seal conforms to ISO 17712:2013 High Security (H) requirements and integrates a passive UHF RFID transponder based on Alien Higgs 3 or Higgs 4 chips.
As a professional Bolt RFID Seal manufacturer and supplier, we provide OEM programming, EPC serialization, customized frequencies, laser marking, and bulk production with full quality inspection, helping system integrators and logistics solution providers deploy reliable RFID container management systems worldwide.

Performance Benchmarks

Bolt RFID Seal integrates a passive UHF transponder operating at 860–960 MHz with a reading distance of up to 10 meters under optimized reader conditions. Unlike adhesive RFID labels, the transponder is permanently integrated into a high-security bolt seal body constructed from galvanized carbon steel, ABS, and PC engineering plastics. Once locked, the seal cannot be removed without visible destruction, making it suitable for customs-controlled international shipments.

Performance Under Dense Steel Environments

Large container yards present one of the most challenging RF environments. Hundreds of steel containers create multipath reflections, shadow zones, and antenna polarization variations. Instead of relying only on maximum reading distance specifications, deployment should focus on portal antenna layout, reader power configuration, and seal orientation.
The passive Alien Higgs platform maintains stable EPC identification while eliminating battery maintenance. Because every chip carries a factory-programmed 96-bit Unique TID, each seal possesses permanent electronic identity independent of user-programmed EPC values.

OEM Customization & Mass Production Workflow

Bulk container security projects usually require much more than supplying finished RFID seals. System compatibility, EPC management, and traceability become equally important.
Our manufacturing workflow begins with customer project analysis, including reader brand, operating frequency, deployment country, and engineering customization. Depending on regional regulations, antenna performance can be optimized for ETSI or FCC frequency bands to improve portal reading consistency.
For system integrators deploying thousands of container seals, EPC serialization files can be generated according to project rules before shipment, significantly reducing field commissioning time.

Technical Troubleshooting & FAQ

Q: Will stacking hundreds of steel containers reduce RFID reading accuracy?

A: Steel structures generate RF reflections and signal shadowing. In practice, reading stability depends more on reader antenna deployment and seal orientation than theoretical reading distance. Proper portal antenna design generally provides more reliable identification than increasing reader power alone.

Q: Should User Memory be used for shipment information?

A: Generally, no. The EPC should remain the primary logistics identifier linked to backend databases. User Memory is better reserved for project-specific engineering data or offline inspection requirements. Frequently rewriting shipment information increases unnecessary write operations and complicates data synchronization.

Q: Can the seal be reused after customs inspection?

A: No.The bolt structure is intentionally designed as a tamper-evident security device. Once unlocked or cut, the mechanical integrity is permanently destroyed even though the RFID chip may still respond electronically. Reusing removed seals compromises security compliance.
