Description
Door Sensor RFID Hard Tag

Door Sensor RFID Hard Tag combines UHF sensing capability, metal-surface stability, and temperature detection into one industrial-grade device. Designed for warehouse doors, electrical cabinets, cold storage gates, and industrial access monitoring, the tag supports long-range reading up to 10 meters on metal surfaces. As a China UHF sensor manufacturer and bulk supplier, we provide OEM frequency tuning, EPC serialization, and customized sensing configurations for system integrators, industrial automation contractors, and smart facility projects.

Engineering Specifications

Industrial door monitoring systems operate under conditions that standard RFID labels cannot tolerate. Metal interference, rapid temperature changes, mechanical vibration, and narrow installation positions often lead to unstable communication between the tag and the reader. This Door Sensor RFID Hard Tag is specifically developed for these industrial sensing environments.
The housing structure uses rigid PC material instead of conventional ABS plastic. PC housing provides better dimensional stability under thermal cycling and reduces deformation when mounted on industrial cabinet doors, freezer doors, or steel enclosures exposed to sunlight and internal equipment heat.
The antenna structure adopts a copper antenna layout optimized for metal mounting conditions. Unlike ordinary RFID hard tags that suffer severe signal attenuation near conductive surfaces, this design maintains stable EPC communication even when installed directly on painted steel doors or galvanized equipment cabinets.
The sensing architecture integrates both opening/closing detection and temperature monitoring capability. This allows the RFID system not only to identify the asset location, but also to capture operational status changes from industrial access points.

The memory structure is suitable for industrial monitoring systems requiring local event storage. Integrators can use User Memory to store inspection logs, equipment IDs, maintenance status, or sensor-trigger timestamps.
Compared with standard UHF hard tags that only provide static identification, this sensor-enabled structure supports real operational event monitoring inside industrial IoT systems.

Performance testing

Industrial sensing projects often fail not because of the reader, but because the tag structure cannot maintain communication consistency under environmental stress.
This tag is designed around three common industrial failure conditions:

RFID Door sensor

1. Metal Door Reflection Interference
In electrical cabinets and steel warehouse doors, RF reflections create unstable read zones. The copper antenna spacing and housing thickness are optimized to reduce detuning caused by direct metal contact.
Internal validation tests simulate installation on:
Powder-coated steel doors
Galvanized cabinet surfaces
Stainless steel cold-storage panels
Signal variation remains controlled within operational EPC recognition tolerance.

2. Low-Temperature Door Monitoring
Cold storage doors create condensation and thermal contraction. Standard adhesive RFID labels typically crack or lose adhesion after repeatd freezer cycling.
The PC housing structure maintains physical stability under low-temperature exposure, while the magnetic mounting option reduces stress concentration during repeated door movement.
Recommended applications include:
Cold chain warehouse monitoring
Pharmaceutical storage doors
Frozen food logistics access points

3. High-Temperature Industrial Equipment Rooms
Industrial electrical enclosures and machinery rooms can generate localized heat accumulation near motors and power modules.
This tag design minimizes:
Housing deformation
Antenna expansion mismatch
EPC signal drift caused by heat exposure
Compared with flexible RFID labels, rigid PC housing provides better long-term mechanical consistency.

4. Repeated Mechanical Impact
Warehouse loading gates and factory access doors generate repetitive vibration and impact during daily operation.
The combination of: rigid housing, internal antenna protection, magnetic stabilization, reduces antenna fracture risk commonly found in brittle epoxy sensor tags.
